POLISH!

CONTEMPORARY ART FROM POLAND

This book is the first of its kind to present a wide selection of 37 established, as well as up-and-coming new positions in contemporary Polish art.

The ŻAK | BRANICKA Foundation is delighted to present to you the book POLISH!, which is published in cooperation with the Art Stations Foundation and Hatje Cantz.

After the foreword and an introduction by Anda Rottenberg outlining the context and history that has given rise to contemporary Polish art, each artist is introduced through an essay written by an international curator or art critic. Each introduction is followed by a number of full-color images offering an ample overview of each artist’s most important work, as well as a long biography.

POLISH! measures 25 x 31 cm, and is enclosed in a glossy flex-cover featuring a reproduction of Piotr Uklański’s work, Untitled (Warsaw Uprising ’44-Żoliborz) (2008). The 320 pages are packed with over 500 images, illustrating the scope of Polish art today.

As the largest, most comprehensive and up-to-date book on contemporary Polish art, it serves as an invaluable guide for curators, gallerists and collectors.

The regular price in book stores is 39,80 €

POLISH! is available in English and German language at our gallery.
